Bio

Nur Mi'raj is incarcerated at the Washington Corrections Center for Women under the name Lia Tricomo. Her developmental years were largely spent outdoors in rural Japan in the Northwest corner of Honshu (Japan's main island). At the age of 8 her family immigrated to the United States. She earned her undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts at The Evergreen State College with a strong focus in Music/Violin Performance. She began drawing in an art class at the Western State Hospital where she served an involuntary civil commitment. Nur enjoys painting, singing, and playing guitar. Music and Art get her through the days.
